Thank you for stopping by—and for taking this courageous step into the next chapter of your healing.
Whether you come to me as a client seeking personal healing, a professional in need of supervision or a consultation, or a community leader wanting to deepen your understanding of trauma and intergenerational and systemic impact on the wounded, my approach remains the same: meet you where you are, honor your lived and felt experiences, and walk with you toward a steadier, freer Self.
— Satya Ottercreek, B.Ph, MA, LADC, LPCC
Our journey begins gently, with awareness parts by parts. We’ll take deliberate steps to understand the conflicting feelings that create distress and block access to your inner and outer strengths—especially in those under-resourced moments when old cycles pull you back despite your best efforts. Exhaustion often follows, making it even harder to move forward. And yet, even then, the will to heal remains.
I believe true healing begins with understanding, not fixing. The greatest lesson from my own healing is this: awareness is the answer. When we become truly aware, half the work seemed already done. From that place, we can transform awareness into intentional, measurable steps—building a foundation for a life that feels not only bearable, but deeply meaningful.
For over eight years, I have provided mental health care to adults navigating crises, complex trauma, and profound life transitions. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota, with specialized training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, and a range of other evidence-based and holistic approaches. My work weaves together the precision of clinical science with the compassion of human connection.
No matter what has brought you here, the most important truth is that you’ve begun to ask: What if something could be different?
The answer to that question is already inside you. My work is to help you uncover it—and to turn that discovery into practical, sustainable tools for healing. These tools will strengthen not only your inner world, but also your connection to the larger “neuro-ecosystem” in which we all exist.
At Healing Milestones, LLC, I serve as an agent of healing, a therapist, mentor, or some might call me a guide. My work is more than a profession—it is a movement of healing that blends ancient wisdom, modern science, faith, and the timeless principles of human growth. It is my privilege to walk beside those who are ready to step out from under the heavy weight of trauma, loss, and life’s relentless challenges.
I believe that even the smallest spark of motivation can ignite profound transformation. My role is to help you fan that spark into a steady, lasting flame. I have always held a deep faith in human resilience—the quiet truth that everything we need to live a meaningful life already lives within us. It’s the ability to move forward despite challenges, to find calm in the middle of the storm. My sole agenda is to offer you a safe, steady space to explore that truth.
Here, your conflicting parts are welcome. There is no rush to “fix” or “change” them. Together, we will hold curiosity, seek clarity, and notice the ways you’ve already been finding your way through pain—perhaps without even realizing it. Sometimes, in a particularly difficult chapter of life, it’s okay to lean on extra support… to have someone walk beside you when the inner conflict feels too heavy to face alone. That is where I will meet you—with what I call a “sacred mix of professional presence and human depth.”
Who I Help & What I Specialize In
I work with individuals and families navigating some of life’s most difficult challenges, with a focus on:
At this time, my caseload is dedicated primarily to clients actively experiencing stress- and trauma-related disorders, including complex PTSD (CPTSD), PTSD, and related conditions. Many of my clients also face co-occurring challenges such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), grief, and eco-systemic impacts.
I am currently prioritizing clients in acute or crisis stages of healing—those whose symptoms are highly disruptive to daily functioning. While I deeply value work with individuals with developmental disabilities, my availability for this population is currently limited. As current clients move into more stable phases of their recovery, I may open a small number of spots for individuals in this group, especially in urgent situations.
This is not a closed-door policy—it is my commitment to providing each client with the time, care, and attention they deserve, while remaining responsive to community needs.
My approach is shaped by the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, which sees our inner world as made up of many “parts” of ourselves—each carrying its own history, pain, and protective strategies. These parts are not obstacles; they are loyal protectors who have been doing their best to keep you safe, even if their methods no longer serve you.
In our work, we approach these parts with compassion, curiosity, and respect. When appropriate, I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—a powerful technique for releasing the grip of old patterns and resolving the cycles of reactivity that keep us stuck. EMDR is always preceded by thorough preparation, including grounding, mindfulness, and emotional regulation skills, ensuring that the process is safe, supported, and sustainable.
I weave together:
This is not quick-fix therapy. It’s transformational work—for those ready to show up, stay patient with the process, and commit to their own growth.
I work with:
I am committed to creating a space that is inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive. I speak Hindi and Punjabi, and my spiritual lens draws from Buddhist principles—though I welcome clients from all faiths and backgrounds.
